If you are suffering from ME (myalgic encephalopathy), CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome), PVFS (post viral fatigue syndrome), chronic depression, anorexia, OCD, obsessions, obsessive thoughts or any other debilitating condition or problem, you may well feel that there isn't much hope of you getting better any time soon but there IS hope now with the Changing Limiting Beliefs training programme using the Rob Kelly Technique™.

I am increasingly being asked for help with these sorts of problems at my practice just outside of Battle, East Sussex and covering Hastings, Rye, Bexhill, Heathfield, Hailsham, Eastbourne, Brighton, Crowborough, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Ashford and the surrounding areas of East Sussex and Kent.

Over many years in practice, Rob Kelly noticed that there are some symptoms which didn't respond well to the IAPH's unique, empowering and amazingly successful therapy 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis. As a result, Rob undertook a great deal of research about these types of symptoms and finding out the best ways to help people with these problems and the Changing Limiting Beliefs training programme is the result of all that hard work.

So what is a Limiting Belief?
Put simply, a limiting belief is any thought or belief you have about yourself or your life that doesn't help you to achieve the life you really want. To go further, a limiting belief system is a set of personal beliefs and thoughts which can have a very negative and damaging effect on your life. Research shows that limiting beliefs can cause you to suffer from all sorts of problems including anxieties, phobias, OCD, obsessions, obsessive thoughts, depression and even physical or mental illnesses - even if they haven't actually caused your illness in the first place, limiting thoughts and beliefs can greatly impede your own natural ability to recover from them.

This programme is unlike any other self-help techniques currently available, including CBT and NLP. Most other self-help techniques, CBT and NLP teach you 'positive thinking' and other special techniques but without you understanding anything about YOU and why you have your problems in the first place - this is why CBT, NLP etc usually have limited and/or short-lived effects. In contrast, 90% of the success of this programme is in you properly understanding how YOUR mind works, exactly how the individual parts interact to create your thoughts, experiences, beliefs and feelings - understanding how YOU 'tick'; then and only then are you in a position to make really effective changes.

The Changing Limiting Beliefs programme has already helped many people to, for example, overcome their phobias; to overcome depression, OCD and obsessions; to significantly improve the symptoms of illnesses such as ME, CFS (*see note below) and PVFS; and parts of it has helped thousands of people to stop smoking.

Changing Limiting Beliefs is normally a six to nine session training programme that will help you to:

  • Understand how limiting and negative thoughts and belief systems are formed and why they are maintained;
  • Recognise your own limiting, negative and damaging thoughts and belief systems;
  • Recognise your individual character, personality type and thinking styles and which of these are likely to be making things more difficult for you than they need be;
  • Understand how, using special techniques, you can properly manage your thoughts and feelings and change them into something working for you rather than against you, as they are now
  • and much more

In fact, for some simpler problems you may need less than six sessions - this generally becomes evident as we work through the sessions and no-one is kept in the programme longer than they need to be. Similarly, you make take longer than nine sessions or may need to come back again in the future for top-up sessions which is fine - everyone is different.

If you enrol in this training programme you will become a "student" or "trainee" - you will not be a "client" as such, as this is not therapy: this is a training programme.

You can be forgiven for possibly being a bit sceptical about this training programme, probably because you have already tried many things in an effort to help yourself with your particular problem but none of them have worked for you. However, all you need to do is to maintain an open mind at all times throughout the training, be prepared to put in the effort and commitment to helping yourself with whatever problem you have and then solidly and consistently apply the special techniques as taught to you and the results will speak for themselves. In any event, we will never proceed from one stage of the programme to the next unless you have fully understood the previous stage and how it applies to you. Also, there is no obligation to continue with the programme at any time.

Each weekly session lasts about an hour and costs just £60.00 per session. There is an additional cost on the first session of £20.00 for the comprehensive and detailed workbook accompanying the training programme. The book, written by Rob Kelly, fully explains the Changing Limiting Beliefs programme and includes weekly exercises for you to complete between sessions - yes, there will be homework! :)

* Important note if you are suffering from ME or CFS - It is a little known fact that Coeliac Disease is commonly misdiagnosed as ME or CFS: ME and CFS are the 10th most common misdiagnoses for Coeliac Disease. Coeliac Disease often follows a period of stress/illness and its symptoms are very similar to ME and CFS but it can be healed in most people by adopting a gluten-free diet and reducing your stress. Even if you cannot obtain a specific diagnosis of Coeliac Disease (as it is still not a 'popular' diagnosis amongst conventional doctors) it may well be worth you considering a gluten-free diet for several weeks to see if you experience any change in your symptoms.
