Hypnosis & hypnotherapy treating anxiety, phobias, fears, depression, stress, panic attacks in Battle, Hastings, Rye, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Heathfield, East Sussex, Kent, UKMany people suffer from anxiety, phobias, fears, depression, stress, panic attacks and other similar problems. Or they have problems with weight control, food intake, drink, drugs, addictions or other issues. I have successfully treated many people with all sorts of issues and problems, using hypnosis and hypnotherapy, specifically 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis, at my practice just outside of Battle, East Sussex and covering Hastings, Rye, Bexhill, Heathfield, Hailsham, Eastbourne, Crowborough, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Ashford and the surrounding areas of East Sussex and Kent.

I assume as you are reading this page, you are looking for help for your own particular problems and I expect, just like everyone else, you have spent a lot of time thinking about your own problems --- "what is wrong with me?" or "why do I feel this way?" or "why do I do these things" or "why can't I control this" or "why is life so hard?" or perhaps, like most people, you think this is "just the way you are" and there's nothing much you can do about it. This is not so....more later.

Perhaps you have consulted your GP with your problems or maybe you've had counselling or traditional psychotherapy or even 'ordinary' hypnotherapy (suggestion therapy or clinical hypnosis or maybe some form of analytical hypnotherapy) yet you still haven't found any answers or had any improvement to your problems......

So perhaps you have talked things through and you have thought about it all some more, maybe you're taking anti-depressants or you've had 'ordinary' hypnotherapy to try to correct or resolve the issues and yet you have still got your problems.....

You might also have tried NLP, CBT, anger management, EFT (tapping), meditation, relaxation or whatever and, although you can possibly cope with or understand your problems a bit better, it hasn't really changed anything because you still have them.....

So, if your problems have not been resolved by thinking about them and their possible causes over and over again; or by talking about them and their possible causes again and again; or they can't really be controlled by any amount of 'ordinary' hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT, EFT or what have you, then where do these problems come from? And what can you do about them?

As human beings we all have the ability and the tendency to bottle up uncomfortable and unacceptable emotions and we all do this to varying degrees throughout our lives - this is entirely normal behaviour and in no way means that we are abnormal or mentally ill! It is the emotions that we bottle up while still young though which are the key.

While we're growing up, we have many, many experiences, both good and not so good, and we tend to bottle up any uncomfortable feelings that we can't cope with - this is normal. However, on occasion some experiences can produce quite powerful emotions and, if we feel unable to understand or cope with the intensity of the emotions at the time, it is also totally normal for us to completely 'bottle them up' or 'lock them away' within our mind and we do this so well, we then have no conscious memory of the experiences at all. As children we have no choice but to do this sometimes because we do not possess the mature, coping, reasoning and analytical skills that we do as adults which would enable us to properly process these powerful emotions at the time.

This is a great protective mechanism for our young minds when we are struggling to understand everything in the world and to cope with all the pressures of growing BUT, although we can safely tuck away the actual experiences well away from the part of the brain which we normally use (the thinking part of our brain), the accompanying bottled up emotions are still very much present and produce all manner of problems - anxiety, fears, phobias, depression, panic attacks, physical symptoms (e.g. asthma, eczema, migraines, Irritable Bowel Syndrome), sexual problems, problems with food or drink and much more* - which can have a significant impact on our adult life. In fact, when we've bottled up these experiences and emotions, the emotions are striving to get out of us, day and night, or they wouldn't be causing any problems at all: a person often has the feeling that they have "something inside of them but outside of their own control".

We all possess the ability to resolve experiences and events which produce significant or powerful emotions using our own in-built natural therapeutic process, which we all possess which works like this...... for example, think back to being dumped by someone, maybe your first serious boyfriend or girlfriend and you feel absolutely terrible at first:- life's not worth living; the world's going to end without them; what's wrong with you that they didn't like ---- sound familiar? Then, thoughts of them and of your relationship keep popping into your mind, usually at the most inopportune moment, or you are 'set off' by something that reminds you of them, maybe a song on the radio or a place you used to go, and you feel bad so you have a cry or you go and get drunk (or both!); then you feel better for a while before another thought sets you off again and then another and another. Gradually though, over a period of time, the thoughts pop in less and less and each time they do, the emotion they trigger is less powerful until one day you realise, 'hey maybe it might be possible to "just be friends" now as he or she had suggested all those months ago.......or maybe not, but you get the idea!

In fact, this in-built natural therapeutic process that we all possess works so well that it is possible for us to resolve the initial effects of the death of a loved one, (which is generally regarded as the most emotionally challenging and upsetting experience we can ever have in our life), within an average of two years ~ during this resolution process the same thing happens - thoughts which are linked back to the loss of your loved one keep popping into your head and you keep releasing the accompanying emotions until you gradually "get over it" and move on with your life. People say that "time heals" but it is the release of emotion over that time which does the healing. If, for some reason, you were unable to release the emotions, you would not get past the upsetting experience and would continue to feel really bad.

So, your natural therapeutic process works really well for any and all experiences that you know about and can think about and can remember - just thinking of things you feel emotional about enables you to naturally release the triggered emotions but what about things that are NOT in the part of your brain that you normally use and you can't remember them because they've been safely tucked away? Well, you can't ever bring these things to mind in order to gradually release the emotions and so resolve them and get over them. This is why the original emotions are still as powerful as the day you bottled them all up and why it is these which are causing you whatever problems you have and not the stuff in your life, however challenging, that you already know about.

When you think about it, it makes sense doesn't it? If you haven't resolved your problems by thinking about a single challenging or upsetting experience, or several upsetting experiences, or even many challenging experiences, from your life that you already know about over and over again; or you haven't resolved your problems by talking about these things over and over again, either with friends or family or in some form of therapy, then your problems must be caused by things currently bottled up outside the part of your brain which you normally use, (your conscious memory), which still have powerful emotions attached to them. So how do you get to these bottled up emotions and release them and resolve them if you don't know which experiences caused them?

This is where 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis comes in.......

I specialise in ‘Pure’ Hypnoanalysis which is which is the single most effective form of therapy in the world today for completely and permanently resolving problems such as anxiety, phobias, fears, depression, weight control, drink problems, lack of confidence, eating disorders, sexual problems and all other psychological and emotional problems and those problems with a psychological or emotional element to them. It works by getting to the ‘root causes’ of your problems or symptoms - your bottled up emotions - and can totally resolve these feelings thus leaving you free from your symptoms and problems for good.

'Pure' Hypnoanalysis is unlike 'ordinary' hypnotherapy and even other forms of analytical hypnotherapy as there is no attempt made to change or correct your problems either by the input of any suggestions or by guiding you to a particular time or events or experiences in your life which either you or the therapist "thinks" might be the answer. 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis allows your own mind to resolve your own problems in its own way, rapidly and effectively and does not rely on your own or the therapist's insight or intellectual input, as there really is no need for this type of intervention - your mind knows what it needs to do to get you through.

'Pure' Hypnoanalysis uses a technique known as ‘Free Association'. Free Association 'harnesses' your own in-built natural therapeutic process to enable you to release your bottled up emotions and resolve your problems. Free Association is actually what is happening automatically whenever you need to process anything emotionally challenging - remember being dumped by someone or experiencing the death of a loved one? - you just aren't aware of it. It is even taking place when you are doing simpler things like trying to remember someone's name but, again, you're just not aware of it.

While you are in a state of light hypnosis, it is easier for your subconscious mind to 'push forward' the thoughts and experiences from your life which are all somehow significantly and symbolically linked back to your bottled up emotions. Your mind will basically freely associate one thought to another and another and gradually, over a period of between 8 and 12 (on average) weekly sessions, the original experiences and the accompanying bottled up emotions are allowed to come to the surface. Once the experiences come back into your mind and the emotions have been released, you will experience a permanent resolution to your problems and symptoms which, at the moment, are "inside you but outside of your own control". Your subconscious mind knows exactly how to do this freely and naturally, so we do not need to 'look for' or 'try to find' the original causes; they will gradually come on their own over the weekly sessions. It is a pure, simple and natural process.

So, 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis works by getting to the ‘root causes’ of your problems or symptoms such as anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, weight control problems, sexual problems, eating disorders, self-harming, depression, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, nerve rashes, migraines, IBS- in fact any problem that has a psychological or emotional component to it. Once the original experiences and accompanying emotions are uncovered and released your problems will disappear for good.

Hypnosis & hypnotherapy treating anxiety, phobias, fears, depression, stress, panic attacks in Battle, Hastings, Rye, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Heathfield, East Sussex, Kent, UK

The use of hypnosis dramatically speeds up this therapeutic process which would normally take months or even years using traditional psychotherapy or psychoanalysis. The number of sessions needed for this type of therapy varies according to the individual but, for the average client, between 8 and 12 weekly sessions is usually sufficient.

Over the sessions we will be working together to enable you to achieve the end result you desire and I will create a safe, trusting, non-judgmental and completely confidential environment within which you will be able to gradually and naturally release the bottled up emotions which are causing your problems.
