Hypnosis & hypnotherapy treating anxiety, phobias, fears, depression, stress, panic attacks in Battle, Hastings, Rye, Bexhill, East Sussex, Kent, UK

Many people in today's society suffer from anxiety, phobias, fears, depression, stress, panic attacks and other similar problems. Most of these people, like yourself, have spent much of their life thinking " what is wrong with me?" and "why do I feel this way?" or "why is life so hard?". A good deal of these people have visited their GP with their problems; perhaps some have had counselling or traditional psychotherapy and so they have talked things through and they have thought about it some more, maybe they are even taking anti-depressants, and yet they have still got their problems. Some others may have tried NLP, CBT, anger management, meditation, relaxation or whatever and, although they can possibly cope with or understand their problems a bit better, they know they still have them.

I am willing to bet that some or all of the above apply to you. So, if your problems have not been resolved by thinking about them and their possible causes over and over again; or by talking them through again and again; or can't really be controlled by any amount of NLP, CBT or what have you, then where do these problems come from? And what can you do about them?

While we are growing up we have many, many experiences, both good and not so good. Sometimes a single experience can have such a profound effect on you that it produces an intense emotional reaction. If, because of your age or your maturity or your circumstances for example, you cannot cope with the intensity of the emotion it will be 'bottled up' or 'locked away' within your mind at the time. This is a great protective mechanism for a young mind that is struggling to cope with all the pressures of growing BUT the experience and the accompanying emotion, although locked away in your mind, is still very much present and can produce all manner of problems - anxiety, fears, phobias, depression, panic attacks, physical symptoms (e.g. asthma, eczema, migraines, Irritable Bowel Syndrome), sexual problems (e.g. premature ejaculation, frigidity, vaginismus) and more* - which can have a significant impact on your adult life. In fact, the emotion is striving to get out of you, day and night, or it wouldn't be causing you any problems at all: a person often has the feeling that they have "something inside of them but outside of their own control".

We all possess the ability to resolve traumatic events by going through our own natural therapeutic process. For example, when you've been dumped by your first serious boyfriend or girlfriend you feel absolutely terrible at first:- life's not worth living; the world's going to end without them; what's wrong with me that they didn't like ---- sound familiar? Thoughts of them and of your relationship keep popping into your mind or you are 'set off' by something that reminds you of them, maybe a song or a place you used to go, and you feel crap so you have a cry or you go and get drunk (or both), then you feel better for a while before another thought sets you off again. Gradually though, over a period of time, the thoughts pop in less and less and each time they do, the emotion they generate is less strong until one day you realise, 'hey maybe it might be possible to "just be friends" now' as he or she had suggested all those months ago.......or maybe not, but you get the idea!

Now this is a great process for those experiences that are in our conscious mind so that we know about them but what about something that is NOT in our conscious mind because it's been locked away? Well, you can't ever think about it in order to gradually release the emotion and so get over it and resolve it, which is why the original emotion is still there and still causing you any amount of problems.

When you think about it, it makes sense doesn't it - if your problems have not been resolved by something that you have already thought about or talked about, (i.e. something in your conscious memory), it must be caused by something outside your conscious mind - i.e. locked away in your subconscious mind. So how do we get to something and release it if we don't know what it is? This is where 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis comes in.......I practice ‘Pure’ Hypnoanalysis which is an extremely effective, non-addictive, non-invasive therapy that uses a technique known as ‘Free Association'. Free Association uses your natural therapeutic process to basically link and connect one subconscious thought to another and gradually, over a period of 8 to 12 weekly sessions, the original experience and the accompanying emotion which have been locked away are allowed to come to the surface. Once the subconscious cause has been made conscious and the emotion has been released, you will experience a permanent resolution to your problems and symptoms which, at the moment, are "inside you but outside of your own control". Your subconscious knows exactly what to do to achieve this so we do not need to 'look for' or 'try to find' the original cause; it will come naturally, on its own, over the weekly sessions. It is a pure, simple and natural process.

So, 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis works by getting to the ‘root cause’ of problems or symptoms such as anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, stammering, sexual problems, eating disorders, self-harming, depression, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, nerve rashes, migraines, IBS- in fact any problem that has a psychological or emotional component to it. Once the original experience and accompanying emotion is uncovered your problem will disappear for good.

Hypnosis & hypnotherapy treating anxiety, phobias, fears, depression, stress, panic attacks in Battle, Hastings, Rye, Bexhill, East Sussex, Kent, UK

The use of hypnosis dramatically speeds up this therapeutic process which would normally take months or even years using traditional psychotherapy or psychoanalysis. The number of sessions needed for this type of therapy varies according to the individual and will be discussed during the free initial consultation but between 8 and 12 weekly sessions is usually sufficient.

As you can see, every problem or symptom has an originating cause and I will create a safe, non-judgmental and completely confidential environment within which you will be able to release the bottled up emotions which are causing your problems.

As mentioned before other therapies, such as CBT, NLP, counselling, psychotherapy, anger management and so on, provide useful tools to help you cope with your problems or symptoms and help you to feel more in control but they do not get to the root cause, so you will still have the problems or symptoms in some form. Suggestion Therapy can also make you feel better, but only in the short term – for lasting change 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis is the therapy of choice.
