I
am most often consulted for what is
known as social anxiety. Anxiety is often described as "fear spread thinly" which is probably as close as you can get to actually putting the sensation into words. Often, if you are feeling anxious, you also have the feeling that you just can't quite 'put your finger on' what the cause of your anxiety is. In some cases, anxiety can develop into an anxiety attack or panic attack which is very disturbing as it appears to come ‘out of the blue’ and apparently has, (to your rational, thinking, intellectual conscious mind), no discernible cause. Your heart beats fast, your rate of breathing increases and you find it difficult to breathe in enough air, you might sweat, you might feel rooted to the spot and it is very common for people in these situations to think they are having a heart attack, so all in all this is very distressing. Anxiety is also known as 'irrational fear' and the most recognised forms of irrational fear are the many phobias. Over time, your anxiety or occurrence of panic attacks may develop to the point where it can have a significant impact on your life. It is quite common in these circumstances to gradually limit or attempt to control your lifestyle so as to always be able to avoid potential situations which might trigger your anxiety or another panic attack. Some therapies, including Suggestion Therapy, CBT, NLP and EFT (tapping), can offer you some relief by aiming for a control of your symptoms. This is usually achieved by the input of positive suggestions or re-conditioning your reactions and teaching you coping mechanisms such as relaxation methods and re-framing the situation etc. However, as the underlying bottled up emotions causing your anxiety or panic attacks are not actually being resolved by using any of these methods, you will never be truly free of your anxiety or the likelihood of having another panic attack. So, for example, you could attempt to control or reduce your anxiety by using Suggestion Therapy, CBT, NLP, EFT or whatever and you might start to feel a bit better and a bit more in control only to find that, the next time you find yourself in an uncomfortable or stressful situation, it all comes flooding back! Other approaches such as counselling and traditional psychotherapy can offer some help by giving you the opportunity to talk through your worries but these are intellectual therapies usually dealing with the things that we 'think' are the problem: unfortunately, the things we generally 'think of' as being the cause of our problems are simply not the real cause. That's not to say that these therapies don't help people to offload some problems or to gain some insight into their character and behaviour. However it is not uncommon for many clients that I see to have been for many sessions of counselling or psychotherapy and to still not be any further forward in finding a real solution to their problems. The only way to permanently resolve your anxiety or panic attacks is to resolve the underlying bottled up feelings and resulting emotional conflict which are causing them. I specialise in the unique therapy of 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis which offers a fast, effective and permanent resolution to your anxiety or panic attacks. 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis is the most modern, successful, effective and empowering therapy known in the world today and can uncover the original root causes of your anxiety or your panic attacks so you can live your life to the full.
