International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts - Successful Hypnotherapy

About The Therapist
1066 Hypnotherapy
covering East Sussex, Battle, Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, Rye, Heathfield, Hailsham, Eastbourne, Kent.

Beaula PageHi, my name is Beaula Page and I have a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Hypnoanalysis from the Hypnotherapy Control Board.

I am a member of the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts (IAPH) which was established
in 1981 and is probably the largest group of Analytical Hypnotherapists in the world.

All members are bound by a strict Code of Practice and Ethics and carry comprehensive insurance.
As I offer therapy for children, I am also fully CRB checked.

I practice two different types of therapy, both using hypnosis:

Suggestion Therapy, sometimes referred to as Clinical Hypnosis and

'Pure' Hypnoanalysis which is a specialised, unique form of hypnotherapy, (broadly, a combination of hypnosis and psychotherapy), only practiced by members of the IAPH ~ I specialise in this therapy.

Pure Hypnoanalysis is the single most effective form of therapy in the world today for completely and permanently resolving problems such as anxiety, phobias, fears, depression, weight control, drink problems, lack of confidence, eating disorders, sexual problems and other psychological and emotional problems. It works by getting to the ‘root cause’ of the problems or symptoms and can totally resolve the cause of unconscious anxieties leaving you free from your symptoms and problems for good.

As part of my training, I went through my own course of 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis. I have to admit that I was a bit sceptical at first about having to do this as I'd previously had counselling, psychotherapy and all sorts of other types of therapy in my life before, including reiki, reflexology, shiatsu and I'd tried yoga and meditation, all in an effort to find an answer to my many [social] anxiety related problems, occasional depression, a tendency to comfort eat and varied physical problems such as unexplained tiredness. A few of these made me feel a bit better for a relatively short period, a couple had me understanding myself a bit better and some of them had no discernible effect at all. However, none of them, not one, had any deep or lasting effect on me and my problems....so, to be honest, I started out thinking that 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis wouldn't change much for me, or about me, either - thankfully I have been proved very wrong.

I went into my own 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis with quite firm ideas about what was at the bottom of all my problems - ideas that I'd held for years as being 'the answer' as to the cause of all my problems and to why I was the way I was. However, I very quickly found out that, if these ideas I had were in fact 'the answer' then I would have had 'the answer' and my problems would not exist. Well, of course. How that logic slipped me by, I'll never know!

I also, (say it quietly), had an idea that a hypnotherapist could somehow just magically get me to stop being and doing........all those things I didn't want to be or do. Again, this was something else that was explained to me which simply cannot and does not happen. If I was going to get through 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis successfully and resolve my problems, it was going to be ME who had to do it - with trusted, expert help of course.

The hardest part, for me, was to let go of those firmly held, well-thought-out beliefs that I had, (those beliefs that I just "knew" which experiences in my life were the ones causing all my problems), and to stop going over and over those 'ideas' and to just allow my mind to freely go from one thought to the next and the next, with me relating EVERY SINGLE ONE of these freely associated thoughts to my therapist. Actually, to be honest, I found it equally difficult to admit to some of the thoughts and experiences which came into my head but, because I felt totally safe with my therapist, I was able to overcome this difficulty too. It was also difficult for me to not 'edit out' and hold back those things that came into my head which I thought had "nothing to do with anything" and for me to stop trying to work it all out as I went along - both things are very counter-productive, especially holding things back: you have to say EVERYTHING, without exception, as your [subconscious] mind does know what it's doing and it is trying to give you the best help it can to resolve your problems - I found all this out the hard way.

Suffice to say, I was a very challenging 'client' in many ways and I was my own worst enemy as a result but I did successfully complete my own therapy, which means that I released all the bottled-up emotions causing my inner conflicts and, as a result, I have reached that wonderful place where my social anxiety (as it turned out to be) has been completely resolved and all associated problems along with it. I have to say that, until I didn't have social anxiety, I had no idea just how much everything in my life was affected by it - the way I thought about things, the way I thought about myself, my actions and reactions, my relationships, my hobbies and sport, even my physical health (emotional/psychological problems, such as anxiety, stress, worry, depression, all impair your immune system which leaves you open to developing all sorts of problems and diseases).

The biggest surprise was that the experiences behind my bottled-up emotions were things I had no memory of whatsoever; I hadn't a clue and they certainly weren't anything to do with all my pre-conceived, well-thought-out, intellectual ideas and theories; but, because the emotions have all gone, the experiences don't matter now. Going through 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis was difficult and challenging at times and, in some ways, was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done but it is also the very best thing by far that I have ever done, for me.

Because of the challenges I faced during my own therapy, I am in a very good place to understand and empathise when my own clients encounter similar difficulties and I give everyone the best possible help I can give in order to help them achieve their goal of a successful resolution to their problems, whatever they may be. Together we form a safe, trusting, non-judgemental therapeutic partnership where we both work together to completely resolve your bottled-up feelings and emotions in an environment of complete trust and confidentiality.

Of course, it has been well known for at least the last 100 years that bottled-up emotions can have a deep impact on the way we think and feel and in the choices that we make in our lives as a result. As I know quite well, there are very many different therapeutic techniques aimed at helping people to rid themselves of unpleasant symptoms and problems but 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis is without doubt one of the most, if not THE most, effective, not to mention quick. 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis permanently resolves symptoms by allowing you to recall, resolve and come to terms with those things previously hidden away from your memory: from that point on, your life will never be the same again.

In addition to successfully completing my own course of 'Pure' Hypnoanalysis, I attend regular seminars in order to extend and increase my knowledge and understanding of the therapies I offer. The ongoing training and invaluable professional support provided within the IAPH ensures that my skills are right up to date and that I am in a position to help all of my clients to have the best possible chance at achieving their goals of a better life.
